Herkimer Diamond Preview

The place to find Herkimer Diamonds is in Middleville New York. Every year from 1998 to 2012 I, spent a few days there at the Herkimer Diamond Mine, and other mines in the area. If you are serious about hard rock mining, this is the place to go. You may find nothing or you may find a nice pocket.

Listed below are a few of the crystals I will selling at the show.
These, and others not listed here, will be available.
You will not find genuine Herkimer Diamonds priced this low anywhere on the internet.

This is a four crystal cluster. The larger crystal has a heal-over where it repaired itself. It is 1 1/4" tall. The inclusion is fossilized plant material (Anthraxolite).

This double terminated crystal is 2" long and 1 3/4" wide. It has 6 sides and a small piece of the pocket. It has fossilized plant inclusions and a nice rainbow.

This double terminated "Champagne" crystal is 2" long and 1 1/4" wide. It gets it's appearance from hydrocarbon fluids that caused the structure of quartz to change. The crystal has a heal-over and a nice rainbow.

This "Champagne" crystal is 1 1/2" long. It gets it's appearance from hydrocarbon fluids that caused the structure of quartz to change. It is flat on the top and bottom indicating it was formed in a seam rather than a pocket.

This is the largest crystal in my collection. It is 4 1/4" tall, 3" wide and weighs 1 pound 2.8 ounces. The points and facets are sharp and well defined. It has a smoky yellow color.
